“El Recreo” mixes will explore various post-punk, minimal wave and psychedelic sounds by Latine artists around the world. Brian Herrera is an illustrator & designer born in Veracruz, Mexico and raised in Chicago. His work and focuses on dissecting immigrant identity and his passion for music through his versatile, and avant-garde yet familiar visual language
Herrera’s most recent work has been featured at Universal Music Group for Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month. His work is currently exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC. Past memorable features have been with Adidas during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game and Poster House NYC, he has also done work for bands in various underground scenes.
