I’m Emiliano RS, an Ecuadorian DJ and producer based in Chicagoland. My influences are wide and varied. I grew up in Quito, Ecuador, where my dad and sister acted as the main sources of inspiration and of knowledge around music. Jazz, rock, classical, metal, hip hop and a plethora of latin american genres made up the sonic landscape of my childhood. During my teen years I discovered the world of house and techno, and I started learning how to DJ with friends. This passion for music (in particular techno, but also other sounds which started there) led me to move to the Detroit area for college, wanting to find a community and a place with historical and cultural and musical significance.
My passion for radio started in 2017 when I joined WCBN FM, where I hosted several shows including Undefined Behavior (my weekly show) and Crush Collision (one of the longest running underground electronic music shows in the world since 1987).
