With over 20 years of DJ experience including tours and club residencies at both Smart Bar and Primary, Sound Arkitek brings his unique ability to both read and educate crowds on all styles of music from hip-hop, drum & bass, house, to downtempo and more. His DJ philosophy is simple: to please the crowd without compromising his own taste all the while exposing people to his encyclopedic knowledge of music. With regular appearances at EZ Inn every other Friday and The Owl once a month - and more on the horizon - being a staple in Chicago’s bars and clubs is just the beginning.
Recently stepping into production, his beat tape - influenced by legends like Premier, Pete Rock, J Dilla as well as contemporaries like Apollo Brown, Nicholas Craven and Cookin Soul - will drop summer 2023.
Saint Icky
Straight from the westside of Chicago rapper/producer Saint Icky blur the line between hip hop trap and electronic music sculpting his own niche soundscapes. With beats tinged heavily in hard-hitting 808s and eerie synthesizers, Ick continues to darken the cloud around the persona of a promising up and coming voice within the Chicago DIY rap landscape. Constantly tiptoeing the lines between a variety of genres, Saint Icky has successfully proven that he isn’t here to set trends and expectations—but to tear them apart, instead.
